Be part of a fast growing company whose primary focus is to improve and advance health and health care using modern data technologies and end-user engagement.  Audax Health, while being a private company of 130 employees, is part of UnitedHealth Group (with the market cap of $75B and the net income of $10B).  We have partnered with several insurance companies including UHG and other large corporations that send us users and clinical/benefit data on these users.  In this role you will be working on these partner data alongside Audax casual/social web and mobile data to identify/quantify health risks and form medical and lifestyle recommendations.

Responsibilities: 

• Training machine learning models to infer health risks and provide user recommendations
• Provide input to data and application engineers on all aspects of the data pipeline and online evaluation (for senior candidates)
• Work with Product on defining product features and key metrics/KPIs (for senior candidates)

• An advanced degree in data science (CS, statistics, or equivalent), PhD preferred 
• Experience with python or another OOP language
• Command of data structures and algorithms
• Strong machine learning fundamentals
• Experience with Hadoop computational layer.  Spark experience is a plus.
• Being analytical with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
• Being a self-starter and results-oriented
