The Role

We’re looking for a self-directed marketer / growth hacker that will ionnovate and execute to drive awareness, demand and conversions on the Paper.li platform. You will be designing and developing campaigns targeting SMB + “Micro-enterprise” audiences by leveraging paid programs (SEM, SMM, sponsored content, content syndication, virtual events, etc.), database marketing and nurture email, retargeting, and in-product marketing, and own the integration of these programs with our existing platform. The right candidate for this position will have the winning mix of front-end development technical skills, hands-on marketing experience, proven ability to develop marketing communications for various channels to drive demand and funnel conversions, solid analytic skills to measure and report on the effectiveness of programs, and obsessive attention to detail. This position requires a unique blend of technical, creative, analytic, and project management expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, track and optimize AdWords, Facebook, and LinkedIn campaigns;

  • Conduct database marketing designed to increase program and tactic effectiveness;

  • Creating and A/B testing landing pages to increase conversion;

  • Draft, write, edit, and launch well-targeted content-based campaigns: blog posts, tutorials, infographics, eBooks, videos, screencasts, presentations, podcasts, white papers, and more;

  • Participate in the brainstorming and implementation of new programs, tactics, and processes that will accelerate the achievement of Paper.li’s revenue goals and strategic milestones;

  • Measure results with a variety of internal analytics tools as well as Google Analytics;

  • Perform funnel analysis to find usage trends and patterns that could provide keys to growth;

  • Collaborate with product team to optimize virality and conversions;

  • Set testing design, KPIs and report on success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in marketing communications with a focus on demand generation/lead generation and conversion rate optimization;

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, from product white papers to compelling, punchy marketing copy;

  • Experience with planning and execution of paid programs including sponsored email, SEM (AdWords), SMM (FB, Twitter, LinkedIn);

  • Experience with database and email marketing, trigger/drip campaigns, and marketing automation;

  • Advanced Google Analytics skills; Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint;

  • Self-starter, can work independently and proactively to resolve issues, take ownership of projects;

  • Extreme attention to detail, time management, organization skills;

  • Technically savvy – ability and drive to learn new software skills;

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data, identify trends, analyze program effectiveness and ROI;

  • Front-end dev (HTML, CSS, JS), editorial and graphic design (Photoshop) skills;

  • A passion for learning industry-leading marketing technologies, tactics and best practices;

  • College graduate with degree in business, marketing, communications or management, or equivalent experience;

  • A positive and flexible attitude for working in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic small team and across various functions. Startup experience preferred.
