Business Development Principal – Platform

Via is hiring an outstanding Business Development Principal – Platform to join our NYC team.

As Business Development Principal – Platform, you will identify, analyze, and develop business opportunities for licensing Via’s game-changing technology to transit organizations.

Responsibilities:

• Identify new business opportunities by conducting comprehensive research of potential markets
• Initiate and develop relationships with lawmakers, community leaders, and institutions across the transit space
• Respond to RFPs; manage the content creation and submission processes across a wide range of opportunities
• Effectively represent Via’s vision to the transportation community 

You:

• An extraordinary communicator with demonstrated research, writing, and editing skills
• Detail-oriented and thorough; able to effectively juggle multiple tasks/projects at once
• Organized and independent; you’re both an individual contributor and a team player
• Familiar with public and private RFP processes; able to easily navigate dense legal, bureaucratic, and industry-specific language
• Interested in and committed to the transportation industry’s shift toward new technology
• Have 2+ years of experience in the public transit ecosystem; have exposure to city government and an understanding of how decisions are made
• Preferably have an MA in Urban Planning/Design, or a related field like Public Policy, from a top-tier graduate program
