Senior Back End Engineer – Wellness Web Applications

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Developing highly-scalable web applications with a focus on security
Becoming a Scala web framework expert using Play Framework
Building scalable services in Scala through Service Oriented Architecture
Integrating with external APIs to customize a user’s experience

Here’s what you need:

5+ years of real industry experience with Java or C#
3+ years of real industry experience working with NoSQL or RDBMS databases
Expert-level design experience, including knowledge of common design patterns and relevant libraries
Familiarity with Scala, or a strong interest to learn
Strong analytical skills and the ability to design and document well-architected systems
B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent

And for bonus points:

Hands-on experience using Scala with the Lift framework
Experience building versioned, integrated APIs in a distributed-service architecture
You understand the ins and outs of document design with MongoDB
Familiarity with the SCRUM SDLC
