If you love teaching and you’d love to do it online and reach thousands of students, Magoosh is the place for you. We are working hard to help students go far, reach their dreams, and have fun along the way.

As a full time tutor in Student Help, you’ll be on the frontlines of helping our students navigate the GRE, GMAT, SAT, and TOEFL. You will also play an important role in our small team, helping make decisions that will benefit our students and their success. Also, we need you to manage and grow our remote team of tutors.

This is a contract-to-hire position. Must be able to work in Berkeley, CA.

In this position, you will…

• Answer our student questions about the GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, and SAT via e-mail from our students
• Decipher the specific needs of students who come from 100+ countries and all walks of life
• In a fun, friendly style, help students plan their studies, work through test stress, and give recommendations for improving in specific subject areas
• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage our growing team of remote tutors
• Make our student support process even quicker and more efficient
• Ensure the accuracy and efficacy of the advice we give students
• Improve our resources for responses to our students
• Have the potential to write blog posts
• Represent our students and stand up for them when we make product or content decisions

You…

• Have previous experience as a tutor or teacher
• Are empathetic and concerned about others and their education
• Have experience being a team leader or manager
• Can easily evaluate performance and provide constructive feedback
• Are a top scorer in one or more of the following exams: SAT, GRE, or GMAT
• Possess a strong understanding of good study habits and study strategies for success on standardized tests
• Achieved a BA or BS
• Are an outstanding writer and grammar maven
• Are always plugged in and very responsive online
• Enjoy handling nebulous problems and coming up with solutions
• Work anytime of day, any day of the week our students don’t stop studying so we don’t stop teaching
