A Mother And Child And Nutrition Technical Coordinator – Haiti

We are looking for: A MOTHER AND CHILD AND NUTRITION TECNICAL COORDINATOR

Context: In Haiti, based in Port au Prince

Length of contract: 12 months (with possible extension), starting from the 1^st of September 2015

The position: Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director, you will be responsible to manage the implementation and coordination of Mother and Child Health and Nutrition (MCHN) Strategy using a “First 1000 days” Approach for CARE/WFP/ACF Development Food Assistance Program (DFAP) project in Haïti including technical support to planning, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, research, and training activities.

You will also participate in the design of the Nutrition and Health strategy of Action Contre la Faim in Haïti.

More precisely, you will be in charge to:

DFAP Assess and Design

DFAP Implement and Monitor
Manage the DFAP Nutrition and Health Team
Ensure DFAP Documentation &Training :
Collaborate with Program Finance and Compliance regarding development and management of project budget and timely reporting
Ensure the Nutrition and Health ACF Coordination

The applicant: You hold a Master degree in Nutrition, Public Health or equivalent and have a minimum of three years field experience in coordination positions on preventing malnutrition programmes.

Experiences of working in partnerships and consortium are required. A proven experience of working in large scale Multi-Year Assistance Program of USAID will be required.

Good knowledge of Care Group Model and Positive Deviance/Hearth Approach and Extended technical knowledge and experience on Mother and Child Health and Nutrition with in depth focus on “First 1000 days window of opportunity” will be necessary.

Excellent diplomacy, organisational, negotiation and representation skills are required.

Excellent team management experience compulsory: You have been recognized as a trainer and a coach for national members of your team.

Fluency in English and French (oral and written) is compulsory.

First experience with ACF will be a plus.

Status:

Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 depending on relevant experience

Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective or individual accommodation, medical insurance

25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year

Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris (1 to 2 weeks)
