Aster Capital is a Venture Capital firm based in Paris with offices in San Francisco, Tel Aviv and Beijing. With more than $300m under management in several funds raised from large global corporations ( including Schneider Electric, Alstom, Solvay) and institutional investors (such as the EIF), we are an active investor in high-growth technology companies. Since 2000, more than 40 innovative companies in digital, cleantech, mobility, advanced materials and IoT have received early and growth stage investment from Aster, including Solairedirect (France, acquired by Engie in 2015), Connectblue (Sweden, acquired by u-blox in 2014), and CPower (US, acquired by Constellation Energy in 2010).

What you will directly contribute to do?

• Dealflow hunting and management

Deal sourcing: strategic watch, events and conferences
Meeting or calls with entrepreneurs
Dealflow management
Early review of business plans

• Detailed review of investment opportunities

Detailed assessment of market, competition, product and technology
Valuation analysis and exit opportunities assessment
Due-diligence

• Deal execution

Term sheet and participation to the negotiation process with the investment team

• Research activity

Market reviews that will be published on our website dedicated to sponsors and industry network

What you will need to be successful?

• You demonstrate a high level of curiosity on the sectors we are looking at or a passion for innovation
• You are independent and proactive
• You have / are working towards a degree from a best-in-class university (engineering or business background)
• You have relevant experience in challenging environments (startup, finance, consulting etc)
• You have a strong analytical skillset with both an ability to focus on detail and the ability to step back to see the bigger picture
• You are fluent in English and French
• You have strong interpersonal skills
• You identify with the Aster mindset: committed to sustainability, entrepreneurial spirit, highly motivated, teamwork and collaboration oriented
