    We are working on building a a self sustainable farm, and we'd love some help working on this dream.

    So far we have managed to prep our land and plant enough food to begin harvesting next season, and we are currently working on prepping more land , building some coops and 2 cabins.

    We are looking for help building a self sustainable farm in the Sierra Nevada Mountains!

    Located 45 minute hike from Palomino, It's a small project, hoping to benefit a couple of local families with a stable job and a wonderful living environment. The dream is a piece of land where we can grow our own food, without the use of chemical nutrients or pesticides. We can feed ourselves and our little friends, cattle, and raise some chickens as well.

    We'll lead our own pack of dogs, part of our family.

    We'll build a beautiful cat house and rescue as many as we can….

    But it all starts with converting jungle into a livable and farmable environment.

    Right now we could use some help with cabin building, general farm tasks, gardening and permaculture.

    The cabins will be built with adobe and local rocks and wood.

    POSITION: CAMP COOK (Jungle Setting)
    DUTIES: Cook All meals. Maintain Kitchen area. Stay withing budget and meet dietary preferences.
    QUALIFICATIONS: Enjoy a jungle setting. Enjoy cooking and all things Kitchen.

    POSITION: FARM HAND
    DUTIES: HEAVY LIFTING. MACHETE. ALL THINGS HANDY
    QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience

    POSITION: Mad Scientist
    DUTIES: Help Plan and Build Solar Collector, Thermal Collector Tracking System, Hydraulic Pump, Solar Oven Cooker, Intermittent Absorption Cycle Refrigerator and Icemakers, Fixed Piston Steam Engines

    QUALIFICATIONS: Prior Experience. English or Spanish Spoken.

    DUTIES: Cut to specs, furniture, trims, accesories (LIght switches, ) FInishings. Work under supervision or on your own projects. Wood Pallet Structures

    POSITION: Grant Writer
    DUTIES: We'd like to dedicate part of our land to a non profit cause, such as an animal sanctuary or for children of the region. Help us write the Grant proposal.

    During the workweek you will be in the farm , which is located 50 minutes hike from Palomino. We have a small cabin, and you will have available a tent and bedding.

    During the weekend, shared rooms are available in town

    You will be eating delicious colombian meals everyday. We try to cook healthy and have enough vegetables and grains, but some of the team members do like meat.

    Work hard during the week, enjoy Palomino and its surroundings in the weekend. Plenty of tubing, beaches, hiking - or partying just an hour away in Taganga.
