Hello,I’m Corinna, I am German but have lived in Thailand for around 11years now, I speak perfect German, very good Thai and understand/speak most English. I live on a large piece of land with my 2 daughters 17 and 18years old and one Thai Lady who works at the dog shelter. We house around 50 dogs, all of which have suffered in one way or another. However we aim to take care of them, ridding of illnesses, training them and ensuring they are in a healthy state to be re-homed/adopted. We aim to help street and temple dogs who are injured, have poor nutrition, are starving, old or dumped puppies. This is done through a series of methods:
• Widespread sterilization of bitches in the supervised temples

• Medical care for dogs (eg mange, distemper, parvo virus, Zwingerhusten, cancer, tumors, abuse, accidents, skin fungus)

• Annual vaccinations (including rabies)

• Weekly supported feeding in the temple

• Search for adoption places for stray dogs

We are hoping to build a new shelter in the beginning of 2015 but need to raise funds of around €10,000 before we can begin, I would be very grateful for any ideas or support in raising these funds if you have knowledge of this kind of work.

I am looking for support with feeding, walking and general care of the dogs. Currently there is one Thai worker and myself and having to take care of my other business (travel tours) it is proving very difficult to juggle everything. We can offer rooms for people wanting to support us and often a scooter. I will however require help toward the cost of your food. You will need to have some level of physical fitness and be confident around dogs and handling them. I cannot always be around due to tours so I will need to trust that you can carryout tasks using your initiative, I ask that you spare around 5hours per day and the rest is your free time.

The house is very big, you can help yourself to the kitchen, cooking food etc I offer free Wifi, towels, bedding and a friendly, comfortable environment. Do however prepare yourself for being dirty especially in rainy season, dogs want to play and therefore will pounce on you haha. I also often struggle with translating documents into English so I would be extremely grateful for support in this.
