Streamroot: building the video delivery of tomorrow

At Streamroot, we’re working to overcome one of the biggest challenges facing the internet today: the explosion of video traffic. Our goal is to redesign the way we deliver video online, to create more robust, cost-effective infrastructures, and to touch millions of internet users by bringing quality video to every corner of the world.

With a hybrid peer-to-peer solution to video streaming, Streamroot helps VoD platforms and live broadcasters improve quality of service, scale to growing audiences and cut their bandwidth costs by up to 70%.

Founded in 2013 by three engineers from Ecole Centrale Paris, Streamroot grew from 3 to 20 employees last year and now has offices in Paris and New York. We took part in the Techstars Boston and Numa (formerly Le Camping, in Paris) accelerator programs - two of the best in the tech world! - and are market leaders in both Europe and the US.

To ensure our continued growth, we are looking for a creative, disciplined, high-energy and experienced sales director to build our sales team. The VP of Sales reports directly to the CEO and works closely with all operational teams.
Key responsibilities

-Proactively market Streamroot’s peer-to-peer solution to Tier 1 broadcasters.
-Qualify leads, assess opportunities, build and manage a sales funnel, close deals.
-Generate leads through outbound calls and other marketing events such as networking and trade shows.
-Drive revenue by managing the technical sales process and evangelizing Streamroot technology.
-Manage and build a sales team.

 

Requirements

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
-5 years of inside and outside experience in the video streaming industry: CDN (content delivery network), Analytics, OVP (online video platform) industry.
-Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a large structure and/or with strategic accounts.
-Desired qualifications

-Proven track record in over-achieving quarterly and annual goals.
-Strong knowledge of Internet and telecommunications; ability to discuss these concepts with intelligence and conviction.
-Knowledge of media delivery, analytics and security.
-Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills appropriate to both technical and management contacts.
-Must have experience developing and enhancing strong client relationships.
-Highly effective in motivating and directing clients and team members.
-Experience in successfully executing complex sales cycles with CXOs.
-Ideal candidate will bring a range of media company contacts.
-A record of success in selling complex solutions to Global 2000 and Fortune 500 caliber companies.
-Experience in managing and building sales teams.
