Description
We live in Piedmont (North-West of Italy), in a small village in the Langhe & Roero area, a Unesco World Heritage Site, well known for its excellent wines and food, surrounded by green hills, vineyards and castles. The weather is usually fine and warm, and there are plenty of events like town fairs and many places to visit. Our area is a good basecamp for visiting the North-West of Italy: we are 1 hour from Turin, 1.5 hours from the mountains (Alps), 2 hours from Milan, 1.5 hours from the seaside (Liguria).
A few more details about our family: I’m Virginia (38, art director and web designer), I live with my husband Davide (38, driver) and our two kids: Adelaide (10) and Corrado (6). We firmly believe in cultural exchange between different Countries, and we’re trying to bring up our children as citizens of the world. Both our kids are bilingual (Italian/English), so you won’t have big communication problems with them. We prefer Workawayers with a basic knowledge of Italian, tough, in order to improve the communication with the rest of the family. The kids have already spent a few Summers with aupairs, so they’re used to having international guests. In general, we are curious people and love learning about everything (nature, science, arts, history, etc) and we will start homeschooling our youngest child from September 2014 (the eldest from next year).

Help
You won’t be asked any housework, apart from cooking lunch for you and the kids and possibly helping me tidying up the kitchen after dinner.
Our children are lively and not very quite, but they’re independent and polite, they love spending time playing in the outdoors and at the grandparents, where there are many cousins to play with. During the week, there are plenty of activities to do with them in the surroundings (outdoor activities, swimming, day trips, cycling, walks, exploring nature, etc). Usually the weather is godo most of the time, but for the occasional rainy day we have hundreds of children books in English, and some good films too!
