We’re looking for a Sr. Product Manager, eCommerce & Billing to join our high performing product management team in San Francisco on our journey to bring DocuSign to everyone.
Position Description
The Sr. Product Manager, eCommerce & Billing is responsible for helping to deliver a world-class eCommerce experience, continually optimizing signup and purchase conversion, activation, billing and anti-churn features. In this role, you’ll lead the next phase of our eCommerce & Billing evolution, focusing on optimizing existing capabilities and expanding our footprint internationally.
You will work closely with Prospects and Customers, Support and lead User Experience, Engineering, IT, Marketing, Product and Program Management to develop the roadmap, vision, definition, design and deliver new and innovative eCommerce and customer acquisition capabilities for DocuSign.
Your keen product management chops will help bring clarity to the vision and requirements, translate them to functional specifications, facilitate a sound design and deliver an innovative and efficient eCommerce experience for all our customers. You’re always testing new functionality and looking for ways to optimize every nook and cranny of the experience, driving engagement, adoption and mitigating churn. You thrive in a fast paced environment that demands being in the details, shipping product early and often, celebrating our achievements and never being “done”.
Responsibilities
- Own the Product: Be the Product Owner for eCommerce and Billing. Lead strategy and roadmap for our eCommerce experience, from signup through initial onboarding.
- Partner: Build solid partnerships with key stakeholder groups to evangelize, influence and execute the strategy and vision. Work closely with Customer Support, Product Management, User Experience, Engineering, IT, Sales and Marketing to launch new capabilities.
- Plan: Evaluate and prioritize market and customer requirements in partnership with the business versus competitors, best practices and new innovations. Prioritize and manage the backlog for effective release and sprint planning. Evaluate trade-off decisions in partnership with teams.
- Define: Facilitate requirements definition across teams to decompose and document releases, epics, functional requirements to developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Design: Convey customer and product requirements in the form of wireframes, mockups and prototypes, iterating on a rapid basis with UX, product, engineering and business stakeholders.
- Deliver: Deliver eCommerce and Billing capabilities that improve the customer experience and associated metrics (conversion, activation, revenue, collection and churn). Work with Program Management and Engineering to ensure product ships on time and to quality.
- Test and Measure: Continuously monitor, A/B test, measure and report on key eCommerce metrics. Identify areas for continuous testing and optimization. Plan and communicate testing paths amongst teams.
Skills

- Data, Analytics and Testing: Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical ability to understand and decompose data to influence requirements, solutions and alternatives. Ability to A/B or multivariate test, measure and continuously improve the baseline.
- Process: Direct experience in delivering web product using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM), including modeling experience using task/story boards, user stories or use cases, etc.; strong knowledge of testing/QA processes
- Delivery: Ability to operate in a matrixed environment of multiple stakeholders and roadmap delivery commitments
- Technology: Strong knowledge of integrated business systems: marketing automation, CRM, eCommerce, Billing, transactional and content management systems, mobile.
- User Experience: Strong understanding of usability principles and practices, including early and rapid prototyping, usability testing, design constraints for cross-browser/platform, mobile, accessibility and SEO
- Tools: Experience in tools such as Mixpanel, Optimizely, Google Analytics, Salesforce.com, Zuora, Axure, JIRA (or other SCRUM management and planning tools)
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in web product management with an eCommerce, Growth or Customer Acquisition focus; prior consulting, eCommerce experience a plus
- Demonstrated experience in building and shipping pervasive, highly usable eCommerce capabilities exposed to millions of prospects and customers worldwide
- Strong track record of building lasting business cross-functional partnership with both internal and external groups, especially Engineering, Program Management, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Business Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related degree. MBA a plus
