Oxfam International and its 18 affiliates worldwide have embarked on an ambitious strategic change process- Vision 2020- building on changes in the past few years, involving change at country, regional and global levels. This change affects all parts of the business of all affiliates and countries, and requires changes to the organizational culture, business processes, structure, staffing models and financial flows. It will be implemented across the Confederation (affiliates, countries, regions, head offices) and will result in a more globally balanced networked organization with increased influencing impact, a streamlined and simplified ways of working and at country level, more effective and efficient programming.

The Vision 2020 change process requires change management capacity, both at country and regional levels. We are looking for an experienced and senior change manager who is able to support country and regional change processes

Key responsibilities

  1. Providing change management advice, knowledge, theory, experience and good practices, at country and regional level.
  2. Responsible for defining, coordinating and implementing (in collaboration with country and regional teams); change management and support plans for countries and region
  3. Liaising with various stakeholders and specialist teams globally, as required, to ensure the change process proceeds as effectively and efficiently as possible. This will include working closely with country and regional change managers as well as affiliate change managers and the broader change network
  4. Working closing with the CD, the Country Management Team and the country Change team, coordinate specific actions of change management activities that different actors will be implementing, to ensure they have a common approach and are in line with agreed plans.
  5. To act as a focal point for change management in the countries being supported, with other actors in the Oxfam system (HR technical teams, systems, finances, regional teams of affiliates, the Secretariat’s 2020 team) towards a three-pronged objective: to ensure that communication is carried out in a coordinated manner and contributes to the agreed plan, ensuring consistency of messaging to teams, that is accurate, timely and comprehensive
  6. To identify any needs the countries might have in order to make this change possible and to channel demands to regional and global level to obtain the necessary support.
  7. To carry out specific change management actions with certain teams (facilitation, specific support training, etc…) with the aim of ensuring the space required for dialogue is provided to help and facilitate the implementation of the changes agreed at country and regional level.
  8. Working closing with the Oxfam International Regional Director monitor the implementation of the transition to one Oxfam to minimize slippage in sequencing in the region
