Project Coordinator Unicef EU – West and Central Africa
The Project Coordinator´s responsibility is within the FCA CAR Country Programme and under the supervision of the FCA Country Manager, the Programme Officer will ensure effective guidance to project officers and oversight to various FCA CAR projects. The position is based in Bangui with frequent travels to Ombella M´Poko.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Carry out standard tasks related to the project cycle: assessments, develop work plan for project implementation, financial project management, monitoring, reporting, evaluation,
- Maintain close contact with donors, ensure that donor guidelines are followed in project implementation;
- Close collaboration with local authorities, and relevant professionals in the education sector,
- Contribute to the strategic planning process reflecting FCA´s three global pillars,
- Report regularly to FCA Country Programme Manager,
- Provide information and support to the FCA country management team when requested,
- Assist in monitoring the security situation and inform Logistic/Security Manager of any potential threats and risks,
- Promote FCA´s mandate and values and accountability principles,
- Develop and promote a functioning monitoring, evaluation and learning mechanism.
Expérience
Competence and Personal Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian and/or development context preferably in the sector of education;
- Through knowledge of project circle management;
- Experience in initiating and facilitating capacity building initiatives,
- Knowledge of international standards on education in emergencies,
- Excellent networking and communication skills;
Langues parlées
Fluency in French and English is required;
