mySkin is looking for highly talented product and growth leaders to define and execute against a our vision and move us into the next level.  You’ll work with some really talented engineers, marketers, sales, and operations types.

The Role

Your role to lead product marketing for our new personal skin coach, OKU (www.getoku.com). You’ll manage and overseeing development key features, drive the market and enable Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities worldwide. You would be responsible for developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and enabling the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities for our newly launches B2C product OKU (www.getoku.com)

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Create and drive development of measurable product plans that drive market adoption and revenue goals via product sales.
  • Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and partner network.
  • Be a key member of the agile Sprint team and drive decisions on app development
  • Work closely with designers, engineers and Marketing/Sales team to develop the strategy, manage and continuously improve the marketing programs that drive demand for our products.
  • Drive the positioning, launch strategy and overall product segmentation. Collaborate with marketing team members on external promotions and PR launch. Plan the launch of new products and releases; manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Create and maintain a detailed roadmap for all future actions
  • Know our product’s license and maintenance revenue targets and progress toward those targets

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product and growth marketing experience delivering highly successful growth, (start-up experience would be a big plus)
  • Experience in software product marketing with a strong skill set and understanding of technology as well as product marketing principles
  • Bachelor’s in Engineering preferred with experience in business or marketing (MBA not necessary but a plus)
  • A “driver” personality: You’re biased toward action, a great collaborator and master disambiguator/simplifier. You never stop pushing towards clarity and delivery.
  • An email master: You possess an uncanny ability to run and iterate on highly effective automated email marketing campaigns.
  • Scary-good at articulating the essence of products and the value they create. You can develop a strong messaging hierarchy and effective content strategy plan. You can also play copywriter.
  • Excellent market research skills, both data wise and in identifying customer needs.
  • Grittiness: You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, third parties, and most of all customers.
  • Easily work and comfortable with remote teams
  • True passion for mySkin’s mission and our goal to make everyone’s skin excellent.
  • Location: NYC area based, comfortable to work remotely before moving to office space.
