Responsibilities:  Install, configure, secure, optimize and maintain production OLTP databases, servers, reporting solutions, data warehouse and cubes Ability to read, write, execute and peer review SQL and T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, constraints Review database performance statistics and suggest improvements Perform database capacity planning and scalability reviews Participate in a rotating 24/7 production OPs team Qualifications: 3+ years experience with BS in computer science or equivalent Experience installing Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2008 R2/2012/2014, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands, Clustering, Database mirroring, Replication. Troubleshooting performance issues, CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention issues Analyzing database integrity issues, blocking, deadlocks, connectivity, security Configuring high availability, clustering, replication, mirroring, log shipping Experience in using diagnostic tools such Sql Server Profiler, SysInternals, DTA, PerfMon, DMVs, system sprocs Creating and modifying ETL packages in SSIS  Nice to have: Scripting experience in at least one language (Python, Perl, bash, Powershell, ...)
