  We are an eco guesthouse, 4km from Kampot town. The guesthouse house is secluded in rice paddies and mangrove. There are many activities to do in Kampot, it’s the perfect place for likeminded nature lovers. Our volunteers are never bored!
  Our Khmer staff are a team of 10, and have been here for the majority of the time we have been open. They are mainly from the surrounding local community, and we support each other like family!
  The business has been open for more than 3 years now and we are looking for positive and creative minds to join our eco friendly orientated guesthouse.

• Help

  We are looking for a minimum of 2 extra pair of hands! Girls only because it is shared staff room, sorry guys…
  Your role is to help the full time staff a few hours a day, depending of needs. The tasks include: informing guests about activities in the area, basic bar/restaurant service to help the full time staff, gardening, entertaining the puppies… You will always be working under the supervision of a manager: Maximum 4-5 hours, 5 days a week. We are a very low density guesthouse with only 11 units so we have a maximum of 24/28 guests to manage.

  What we are looking for:
  We are looking for friendly responsible people with previous experience in reception/bar and restaurant/café /tourism related areas. Fast learners, open minded and curious individuals, as well as Nature Lovers are more than welcome.

  What we are offering:
  We have a really beautiful place lost in the truly rural and natural Cambodian countryside… Any nature lover usually falls in love within a few hours. You will be working and interacting with Khmer people from our local communities. You can learn about Khmer culture, habits, food, and even the language if you have the motivation! Most of our staff have been with us for the past 3 years and it feels more like a family than "staff".
  You will have space and time for yourself: we have 4 hectares of tropical garden where you can just find the perfect spot for all kind of spiritual activities such as Yoga, meditation, photography, drawing… Gardening or just a nap in the shade of the trees 🙂 We even have a technical building full of tools!
  You can spend time with our gardener and learn organic local gardening and fruit production (We produce coconuts, bananas, mangos, passion fruits….)

  The package includes:
  Laundry, 3 set meals per day, shared staff accommodation/bathroom, set days off per week, free use of bicycle and canoe, high speed wifi access.

  Minimum volunteering of 3 weeks - You will need to have a proper valid Visa for the duration of your stay, we can arrange your visa extension but it will be at your own expense. If you need more information on Visas please contact us.

  Good English speaking is mandatory.

  A little bit more about us: Ganesha Kampot is not an ordinary guesthouse… because we are off the main tracks we attract a very different type of guest. We are fortunate to attract quite a lot of creative guests, musicians, photographers as well as nice couples. This is NOT a backpacker spring break non stop party place… we are really into the chill out mood, looking for our guest to have the most relaxing time possible in a very friendly natural atmosphere.
  We are often are described as a chill hippie place in reviews… I let you make your own mind about that!

• What else …

  Volunteers here can make the most of the beautiful scenery by taking a canoe ride, exploring on a bicycle, going for a swim in Kampot river, meditating, practicing yoga, reading, writing, photography, and more.. You must love dogs as we have 5 of them (2 adults and 3 pups).

  Kampot is a charming little city with a nice restaurant and bar scene, with a little party scene on the weekends. We are located only 4 km from the city so with a bicycle, it’s only a 15/20 minute ride from Ganesha.
  You can also arrange Khmer lessons, sign language lessons, climbing, kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding and more…

  Kampot is located 2 1/2 hours from Phnom Penh and can be reached to by bus for $5-9.
  Sihanoukville is located 2 hours away and is $5-8 by bus.
