Summary:
Zipcar is seeking a summer intern to join the Pricing and Revenue Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for proposing, executing and presenting rigorous, data-driven analysis.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day responsibilities will vary, and are not represented in their entirety:
- Master and leverage our member database to identify new Revenue Management opportunities
- Utilize internal and external data to enable improved demand forecasting
- Evaluate performance of special promotions and associated price elasticity
- Develop content for pricing strategy meetings with top-leadership
- Assist team with price implementation and validation as necessary
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Graduate degree in business administration (MBA), operations research, statistics, economics, or similar quantitatively focused subject area
- Experience working with large data sets including data cleansing and validation
- Fundamental understanding of pricing strategy, structures and techniques
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work well with others in a dynamic team environment
- Excellent computer skills (advanced excel and planning/forecasting tools), the ideal candidate will have data-mining and SQL capabilities
- Must pass pre-employment background check, credit check and drug screen
