 The Role:   We are looking for an interactive designer who is passionate about the design and development of engaging user experiences. Someone who always focuses on quality design and craftsmanship, with a strong desire to consistently deliver something exceptional. A thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies is a must. As our first in-house designer, you will have a tremendous impact on the look and feel of our digital products.   You Will: Act as a driving creative force for Teforia, participating in the design execution from concept to release on a variety of concurrent projects. Your attention to detail and ability to multi-task will be key to success in this role, as will your ability to provide both highly analytical and highly creative ideas for every design engagement. Your designs should reflect fresh approaches while remaining true to our brand. You will play a key role in growing our digital products, increasing user interaction, and building a community centered around a shared love of tea. Your first task will be to shape the primary experience for the mobile app that is at the heart of Teforia’s user interface. You will leverage your strong motivation and design expertise to properly set up the team and oversee the project management tasks that will drive results.   Responsibilities: Create wireframes, mock-ups, UI/UX architecture, task flows, and visual and interaction designs based on prescribed requirements and scenarios Collaborate from initial user experience concept through planning and execution with engineering, product, and design teams Prototype effectively for user testing and make educated decisions on designs Help build tools and applications from the ground-up, and create the full information hierarchy and architecture around them Maintain a cohesive style guide ensuring that a consistent design language is applied across the product.   Our Ideal Candidate Has: 4+ years of design experience for software, mobile, or web applications which leverage and interface with emergent technologies, consumer electronics, or mobile devices Strong Project Management and communications skills Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative/Production Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), InVision, and associated design tools Strong experience with interactive design, including overall concept and vision, layout, typography, and usability Exceptional design skills, production value, and attention to detail Strong conceptualization ability, visual communication ability, drawing skills, and sketchbook technique Experience shipping product   Bonus Points: Experience with print design Background in visual/graphic design Interest in and experience with Human-Computer Interaction methodology   What We Can Offer You: Market-competitive salary and fantastic benefits Equity in a strongly-backed startup with huge potential A collaborative team of driven and motivated individuals in a fast, exciting startup working environment Tea, lots of amazing tea!
