  Spring is just around the corner and so is kidding season! We could use your help raising all those little kids!
  We operate a small farmstead dairy at the foot of the Oregon coast Range about 30miles west of Portland Oregon. We are the only certified organic goat dairy in Oregon and sell our cheese at local shops in Portland as well as at Farmers Market. Dairy farming is a lot of work but also rewarding. We process our milk into a range of great cheeses while providing a great life for our goats. If you are interested in organic farming, cheese making and the local food system there is much to learn and do here. Portland has a thriving food scene and there are many new and young farmers around. The best guests for us are folks who are really, really interested in learning about organic farming and food production. We love to teach!

  We need help in the barn, caring for the goats and milking them as well as in the dairy where we make cheese. We do our best to match people with their interests and skill sets. Our volunteers do four days on the farm and have three days off during which they can either stay here or stay in our place in Portland. You don't have to be experienced in dairy or animal care but must be able to understand directions in either english or german and be able to help for several hours a day, some of it physical like carrying buckets etc.
