Our partner in Senegal is looking for an experienced and diligent professional with a financial background to lead the Finance and Resources operations.
Responsibilities:
To support the Country Director and Programme Managers in ensuring that appropriate financial and output targets are set, that performance against targets is monitored and informs in-year action and future planning; to ensure the integrity of financial and other management information systems in line with corporate financial standards. To also ensure an efficient, secure & appropriately controlled financial environment and to provide financial services & advice needed to guarantee effective management of financial resources. To support the effective management of Human Resources in the directorate.
Context and Environment:
Our partner’s Senegal office has a Resources and Finance team of four, led by the Head of Finance and Resources. The team is in charge of finances, procurement and premises management, alongside other crosscutting issues such as Risk Management, Information & knowledge management of the country office. The Head of Finance & Resources would be part of the country’s Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will bring:
• At least 5+ years of senior management experience in finances, building on finance / accounting qualifications from a recognised University.
• You will demonstrate your ability to lead from the front in creating and refining systems and processes that are clear, transparent and user-friendly.
• Strong communication skills will be a key asset in working alongside a small, high performing team, to ensure the delivery of the country goals and compliance with corporate standards in finance and procurement.
• You will demonstrate advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel which will be used to bring organisation and success to the role.
• Proficiency in French and English is a requirement of this role.
Local salary: XOF19,500,000 basic net per annum plus benefits.
