We provide the leading marketplace for DIY workshops in Belgium. (1001belges.be).

We are going worldwide, our first stop: France, under the brand 1001passions.fr.

We are looking for a general manager for France :

• You will be responsible for the development and growth of our business in the country.
• Your role, as a strong business developer, will be to acquire and retain new users, as well as extending the the « 1001passions » brand.
• You will also be responsible for operational excellence and maintaining « 1001passions » quality throughout the customer journey. Support, local marketing, supply chain management, service quality management, social media, PR — all of these will sit under the GM.

You are the chief executive of your territory and will report to the Belgian CEO.

The first year will be a really hands-on experience, launching the concept by yourself in several french cities…!

The Job :

• Launch 1001 in different french cities
• Initiate creative local marketing strategies and user growth campaigns
• Represent 1001 at local events and with local partners
• Help scale our other cities through developing and sharing best practices
• Build and grow the french community
• Build and grow the French team

Requirements :

• You are in love with the Maker and DIY movement
• 3 years of consulting, investment banking, marketing or operations management experience
• Any prior experience in launching a marketplace and/or in the DIY sector
• Creative solutions driven mindset, with a Getting Things Done attitude.
• Entrepreneurial DNA
• You are going to launch the concept in different cities: no problem, you love travelling and discovering new things
• Our users are +90% women. We think it might be a more suitable role for a women, but if you are a brilliant male interested in DIY, you are welcome to apply too
• French–>native level but you are fluent in english
