We are looking for a proactive and highly motivated individual to join us as Funding Support and Information Officer in our Programme Partnerships department on a six-month fixed term contract.

Our UK and Global Programmes department delivers humanitarian and development programmes, builds partnerships with institutional donors – including governments, multi-laterals and trusts – and drives lasting change. As Funding Support and Information Officer you will join the Programme Partnerships department, delivering strong support and oversight of co-financing liabilities, and consistent high-quality inputs to processes and initiatives which contribute towards organisational efforts to increase our unrestricted funding and reduce our unrestricted funding liability. You will:

  • Retain oversight of Save the Children UK’s co-financing liabilities and pipeline of opportunities – developing engaging and accurate monthly financial reports
  • Provide information and content on co-financing gaps to fundraising teams, ensuring they have up-to-date information to engage donors.
  • Support efforts from grant managers to source funds which will cover co-finance commitments
  • Work closely with the fundraising teams to ensure a streamlined approach is in place for shared information about our programmes
  • Work with stakeholders to conduct programme scoping exercises within agreed deadlines

To be successful you will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject area with proven experience of managing relationships in complex organisations with numerous stakeholders, including at a senior level. Assertive, enthusiastic and a team player, you will have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key points from complex information and translate in clear and compelling materials. In addition you will have:

  • Demonstrate strong writing and attention to detail
  • A good understanding of corporate, philanthropy and trusts and foundations
  • A high level of numeracy skills, and the ability to carry out budget analysis
  • Exceptional organisational and administration skills, with the ability to manage a high workload, managing priorities and balancing workload across the various functions of the role
  • Strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for the work of Save the Children and an understanding of funding mechanisms in the INGO sector
