  We are a family of 5 living in rural Taranaki. We live on a farm and work is a mixture of on & off farm for us. Our family has an interesting blend of interests from technology to farming and tramping in the native bush close by. Non-smoking household.

  The work will depend on the volunteer's skills and interests, and could include child care (outside of school hours), cooking, cleaning, gardening, farm work, milking cows and more.

• What else …

  Taranaki is unique in the world because it's possible to surf in the waves and ski on the mountain in the same day. If they're not your type of activities, or it's the wrong time of year, there are plenty of bush walks and coastal walks. The nearest big town is New Plymouth - everything is driving distance away, and you will get the most out of your stay if you have your own car (although we are happy to take you sightseeing when we have time).
