Silent Models NY is a Top-10 ranked women’s modeling agency. We recently secured seed funding to launch an iPhone and Android app, SwipeCast, that enables models and clients to transact over mobile devices. We are looking to hire a Director of Business Development and Product Management to help us to develop, test, launch and market the app to fashion designers, photographers, casting agents and models.

As the Director of Business Development and Project Management, you will lead the day-to-day operations and manage mission-critical objectives including over-seeing application product management, building out team, and ultimately marketing to and recruiting users on both sides of the platform. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem solver with strong operational skills and experience managing and executing complicated task lists, coordinating internal and external partners, and setting and achieving outsized goals.
The applicant should have experience in product management and agile development, ideally in a start-up environment. Experience in fashion, retail, modeling or similar creative industries is extremely desirable

 

Key responsibilities:

• Co-develop and execute strategic and tactical agenda in collaboration with Silent CEO
• Coordinate with developer and UI/ UX team to define product specs, prototype, test, and iteratively develop mobile applications for iOs, Android and web
• Work with platform users to iteratively test, obtain, analyze beta product
• Oversee priority hiring; ultimately manage team, create roadmaps, and monitor achievement of goals
• Establish workflow processes and procedures using technology solutions as business grows
• Manage vendors, operating consultants, and other third party service providers
• Co-develop and drive go-to-market and customer acquisition strategy

 

Qualifications

• Demonstrated product management experience, ideally in mobile software development
• Experience leading and managing a team or product development process
• Experience in agile development; understanding and synthesizing user needs using a variety of practices.

 

Highly Desirable:

• Familiarity and experience in the fashion, retail or similar creative / aesthetic industries
• Ability to actively recruit users to the platform – models, photographers, casting agents and key influencers; serve as an ambassador to the fashion industry
• Experience coding and developing mobile applications, preferably iOS and/or Android
