The role
In this role, you would be helping to manage our existing partnerships and develop new ones, whilst leading new initiatives aimed at building support, brand knowledge and global awareness of the Foundation. Reporting to the CEO, this is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in the exciting next stage of our development. You will be working within our small and dynamic Development team in Sierra Leone, but you will be in regular contact with our partners and supporters in the UK. This position will suit an experienced fundraiser with an ability to engage a variety of donors and an understanding of the processes required to ensure this function is successful.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering a sustainable fundraising strategy for CBF using all appropriate fundraising streams including institutional and major donors and corporations
- Initiating, managing and coordinating all fundraising campaigns
- Researching and accessing appropriate grant funding in the UK and overseas
- Helping to manage our existing partnerships and develop new ones
- Providing creative input to the ‘brand’ image and organise the sourcing of branded materials
- Contributing to the Foundation’s strategic planning activities
Required experience & skills
- A degree, or equivalent qualification, in a relevant subject or field
- Experience in a fundraising position, preferable for a charity
- Experience of dealing with external agencies and audiences
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Some experience of working or volunteering in a developing country environment
Placement Details
- Placement duration to be a minimum of three months
- Role would report to the Craig Bellamy Foundation CEO
