As we are scaling our engineering function at Airbnb we are always on the lookout for strong teams of engineers we can add to the company via acquisition.
Role
Will be responsible for scouting companies that are potential acquisition targets and helping shepherd them through the reach-out, interview and negotiation phase. This person will partner closely with the engineering and finance teams who would sponsor the acquisitions and lead term sheet negotiation.
Acquisitions could be a major staffing lever for Airbnb this year and next. In this role you would be at the forefront of that activity for the company.
Experience and Skills:
- Two years of M&A experience.
- A background working at a venture capital firm is ideal
- Comprehensive understanding of the early-stage startup landscape.
- Deep network in the startup community, great networking skills.
- Solid understanding of company financial mechanics.
- Proven track record of negotiation and closing deals.
- Strong internal and external communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong execution of projects and working autonomously
