What we’re looking for:
We are looking to hire a US based COO to lead the running and development of the US business. As COO, you will drive results by unleashing creativity and accountability in a performance-oriented culture among a group of diverse and talented individuals. Your experience with other fast-growing technology companies will help you craft efficient and effective systems for the entire organization while taking direct responsibility for finance, recruiting, operations and administrative functions of the business in the US.
Specifically: -
Regional and City rollouts - building the playbook, engaging and hiring regional brand
ambassadors, local teams and journalists.
Recruiting and managing the core office, editorial team, P+L for US operations.
Responsible for US branding, PR, Communications.
Responsible for leases, contracts, external relationships.
Ownership of Finance, HR, Operations and legal for the US.
You will :
Graduate from a leading university.
1-3 years proven leadership experience within a technology startup environment as a founder or senior management or a background in top tier management consultancy.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills, able to bring clarity on decisions and communicate effectively.
Be adaptable.
Willing to travel.
Able to inspire, engage and motivate a flexible workforce.
Be able to put in place systems and process to achieve the ambitions of the board and leadership team.
Team of 20 growing to 30 in first 3 months
Desirable:
Experience in managing remote teams on a regional basis
