CARE International UK (Ciuk) is looking for an exceptional candidate to join his team and Climate Change Resilience, as we seek to develop our expertise and provide quality support programs through our country offices.
We are looking for very experienced technical expert to advise on resilience and adaptation to climate change in Ciuk programs to support the development of advocacy proposals, research and financing using our experience as programmatic foundation. The incumbent will be responsible for developing strong relationships with institutional donors, research institutes, other NGOs and our country offices.
You will play a key role in raising the profile of work on resilience and techniques climate change adaptation CARE International UK and from our international partners. In addition, you will be the technical manager for a project funded by DFID (Department for International Development in Britain) implemented by Ciuk as building resilience and adapting to extreme weather and natural disasters. You will work closely with our fundraising teams to obtain financing for our vis-a-vis the labor climate change and resilience.
The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing resilience programs and adaptation at field level, with previous experience in high-level representation. You will have team spirit, you will be proactive with strong communication skills and the ability to turn conceptual ideas for programs. You will also have experience working in both humanitarian and development. Language ability in written and spoken French and English is a requirement for this position.

Expérience

• MA or MSc in development, natural resources management, environmental sciences.
• economic analysis of households, socio-economic cost-benefit analysis or other specific training relevant development.
Expertise and skills • Ability to work in French-language contexts.
• Background in climate change adaptation / arid desirable livelihoods in Sahel / Africa
• In-depth understanding of the key concepts of vulnerability and risk reduction, strengthening resilience and expertise in the implementation of these development programs.
• Specific technical capacity in one or a combination of adaptation to climate change, restoring livelihoods and resilience, natural resource management, agriculture or pastoralism.
• Outstanding ability to support and advise colleagues laymen and provide training.
• Expertise in the development or implementation of knowledge management and learning processes and / or strategies.
• Ability to analyze, summarize and synthesize learning and evidence and to produce written high quality suitable for publication and advocacy work.
• the sharp negotiation, influencing and networking skills.
• Proven project design, development, management and budgetary powers (including the drafting of the proposal).
• Track record of securing funding.
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles of participation, gender equity (including the empowerment of women), accountability and pro-poor governance in the development work.
