Description Handicap International is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Party for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Sri Lanka. The USAID/Sri Lanka program aims to strengthen Sri Lankan efforts to build a more inclusive, cooperative, and resilient society in order to promote reconciliation and peace. The program is in line with the USAID initiative to Support the Sri Lankan Reform Agenda (SSLRA). The anticipated program is $12 million / four (4) years. It is anticipated to start in August 2017.

 

Position Summary:

THIS POSITION IS SUBJECT TO FUNDINGS

The COP will be responsible for the success and oversight for the entire program. The COP will provide administrative and technical support throughout the implementation of the project, including management of any sub-partners. HI is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) who will ensure the successful development and implementation of all program components of the project, with direct responsibility for the design and implementation of social cohesion project initiatives including, but not limited to, Transitional Justice, peacebuilding and reconciliation, Livelihoods, Youth/Disability/Gender inclusion, and capacity building of CSO

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the overall program leadership, management (program strategy implementation, coordination between partners, government counterparts, and other implementing partners) and technical direction
  • Represent HI with USAID and all partners and stakeholders.
  • Oversees administrative management of local subcontracts and grants.
  • Ensure compliance with USAID regulations and HI.
  • Directly supervises finance and administration, and monitoring and evaluation units

Langues parlées

Fluency in English with excellent writing skills required; French preferred
