Airbnb is putting together a business development team to further the Airbnb mission of providing inspiring travel experiences for our hosts and guests around the world.
Role:
Will lead initiatives to engage with business partners on new relationships. Structure and negotiate deals. Expand and grow the reach of the Airbnb business.
Partnerships will cover a variety of business partnerships that:

Enhance the host and guest experience (e.g. the establishment of partnerships that simplify the task of hosting, or that add to trip enjoyment for guests)

Expand the types services offered by Airbnb (e.g with other sharing-economy companies or travel services companies)

Support ongoing business initiatives (e.g product, hospitality, marketing)
Job Duties

Identify partnership opportunities, forge and develop relationships to enable continued rapid growth and service expansion at Airbnb.

Lead all aspects of deal execution, including prioritization of partners, strategic and product assessment, transaction structuring and negotiation.

Work with cross functional teams in engineering, product, marketing, operations, community, legal and finance to ensure alignment on partnerships

Pilot new initiatives and partnerships to evaluate their feasibility and potential

Lead initiatives from the concept phase, through evaluation, scoping and successful execution

Management of ongoing partner relationships
Experience and Skills
-
8+ years prior experience doing business development for online marketplace, e-commerce or travel related businesses.

Expertise in developing, analyzing, modeling business cases, understanding of legal agreements.

Proven track record of effectively negotiating multi-million dollar business agreements and developing business relationships that impact company performance

Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills. Pays attention to both details and macro-level outcomes

Strong internal and external communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements. Startup experience a plus.

Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
