With the increasing frequency and severity of emergencies world-wide the organisation is increasing its capacity to support programmes in both sudden onset and chronic emergency situations.

Our Emergency Response Team is a team of highly motivated, internationally roving, experts who are deployed on short to medium term assignments to respond effectively to emergencies world-wide. They give immediate emergency focused financial & award management expertise in responses, add to capacity when we ‘scale up’ country programmes, and advice and training where needed to build ability in individuals and country programmes.

About the roles

Save the Children is currently recruiting for several Awards (Grants) Emergency Response Personnel as follow:
•Awards (Grants) Coordinator
•Awards (Grants) Manager
•Awards (Grants) Senior Manager

Awards ERPs are responsible for introducing and upholding best award and grant management procedures and processes in first phase or on-going emergencies, fragile states and/or country/regional programmes. ore specifically, they are responsible for:
•providing short term award support;
•managing the development and advancements of policy and procedure;
•providing information and analysis for decision-making;
•overseeing and implementing internal controls to ensure that Save the Children responses comply with internal and donor requirements;
•Working with and building the capacity of national teams to support on-going emergencies.

What we offer in return

In return we are offering a salary of:
•Awards Senior Manager GDP35,275 per annum + GDP2,500 hardship allowance.
•Awards Manager GDP32,105 per annum + GDP2,500 hardship allowance.
•Awards Coordinator GDP29,208 per annum + GDP2,500 hardship allowance.

ERPs will receive 35 days Annual Leave per year; medical insurance while on deployment; travel and accommodation provided for; based in home country; paid R&R; Gross salary paid from UK plus hardship allowance; complexity allowance and expensive posting allowance where applicable.

Expérience

About you

You will be an excellent communicator and probably have Management Team experience. You will have extensive international experience in challenging environments, either in emergency responses or in support to on-going development programming. You’re a naturally analytical thinker and can prepare complex reports while adhering to donor requirements. You’ll have a progressive to substantial knowledge of the requirements of the major donors and experience in budgeting and reporting to donors. Patient, diplomatic and an experienced negotiator, you’ll be able to stay flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances and be willing to be deployed up to 80% of the time.
