AMICA has been a leader in humanitarian projects in the Kompong Cham area for well over a decade and works in close partnership with local beneficiaries.

The activities of all AMICA representatives on site and within the framework of his/her remit must be fully in line with AMICA’s ethics and policies, notably honesty, respect for all, dynamism and humility.

All AMICA representatives must bear in mind that any action or commitment engages AMICA and affects the lives and welfare of the beneficiaries of its programmes: actions and/or commitments must therefore always be taken after careful consideration of the local situation and their short-term and long-term impact. Sustainability and humanitarian profit must also guide the development of our projects. Regular communication with the Board of AMICA and the local coordinator is one of the keys of success.

The Marketing Manager shall develop this project with sustainability and quality in mind.
The principal tasks are as follows:
- Implementation of marketing strategy
- Development of strategic partnerships and commercial opportunities (tour operators,
hotels, retail tourist outlets, etc.)
- Development of strategic media relationships, tourist guides [both people and
publications], internet ecotourism websites, social media, etc
- Improvement of the quality, design and added-value of handicraft products
- Training of local tourist guide(s) for our principal sponsored village of Cheung Kok. Such training to include village features and sights, analysis of tourists’ expectations and motivation for visitors to purchase handicrafts and/or make donations
- Boosting autonomous tourist visits by the provision of information and suitable noticeboards and signage

Expériences / Formation du candidat

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. marketing, tourism, project management, relevant social sciences qualification)
- A successful track record in marketing and PR in the field of tourism
- A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience at management level (including managing a team and departmental budgets)
-Valid driving licence for a saloon car. Ability to ride a small motorcycle or scooter.

Durée du contrat

Status: volunteer marketing manager.
Duration of mission: 9 to 12 months, from October the 1st, 2014

Salaire / Indemnité

Monthly out-of-pocket expenses of US$350.00.
AMICA will cover local accommodation rent and transport expenses.
The cost of the return flight ticket may qualify for a 66% tax deduction under certain
conditions.
