This is a beautiful part of Australia and sees travellers from all over the world passing through. Here you can learn about all different kinds of cultures. Alice Springs is rich in Aboriginal culture, and it is where the Arrente people originate. The area is steep in 'dreamtime' stories and beautiful natural locations that are easily accessible from the hostel.
This host offers accommodation and payment.
Hi guys.
This is a quiet, no party hostel, with an easy going german manager.
The hostel is (almost) always in need for reliable helpers (based on free accommodation).
Main task will be, washing, drying and folding sheets. Cleaning dorms, facilities. Staff will rotate in jobs to make days off available. The Job keeps you busy a couple of hours in the morning and, depending on your task, half an hour in the afternoon.
As a thank you, we are happy to book you onto a well discounted Uluru 3 Day Tour at the End of your agreed minimum stay of 4 weeks with us. You shouldn't leave without seeing those beauties ;).
The hostel has a cozy lush garden, a lovely pool, a TV Room, a big kitchen, laundry and a BBQ Area. Games are available.
NO CALLS FROM LOCALS LIVING NEARBY! It's an offer for travellers only, thank you.
Host offers a wage in line with the minimum wage
This may be partially offset by the food and accommodation offered depending on local labour laws.
English, German
Guests will be accommodated in a 6 bed mixed dorm – free wifi and sheets, tea & coffee is/are offered plus of course use of all our facilities. We try to keep all long-term working people in one room to create friendships and trust. We have a cozy TV Room, games and a relaxed garden with sparkling pool.
Many travellers use this opportunity to save some money, work for the bed in the morning, have a a paid job in the arvo or at night time (no morning jobs!!!)…everybody wins! Possibilities for long-termers to relieve the management might be given.

The work load was 2-3 hours of cleaning every morning, 7 days a week. This also left time to have another job in the afternoon/evenings.
The hostel itself was one of the coolest and quirkiest places I've stayed in and you can really see that passion has gone in to creating the environment it has. This also shows in the type of guests the hostel attracts, everyone was keen to make friends with each other!
Huge thanks to Seb and Miriam for having me 🙂

Everything they did was more then spot on and satisfying! They really put our housekeeping level onto a different level compared to 'the normal workawayer'.

Kelly and Mats were originally going to help us for 2-3 weeks, but they ended up staying for 6 months!
They got involved in pretty much everything here; cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and laundry. The general running of the hostel. When management left on personal business, Kelly and Mats ran and looked after the hostel for almost 3 weeks. It's obvious this place became like a home to them as they took care of the place with professionalism, confidence and above all else trust.
They'll be missed here, but we look forward to welcoming them back in the future
All the best and thank you both very much!
