This is Mohammad from Petra of Jordan. I have my own business and I'm looking for new volunteers working with us , it will be lovely experience as usual. Eight years ago I began building this desert camp by hand and it is now a well established site for many tourists from all parts of world. Also many local people come just to relax, smoke sheesha and get away from the city atmosphere. I am still working on my English so your experience here will be a full cross cultural experience. Their is a decent size functionable kitchen where we prepare all the meals for our guests and share the Bedouin lifestyle. Campfires, tea and local music. We happen to have the perfect view to watch the local goat herders pass by.also we can host a volunteer at wadi musa , helping with hotel
So your choice.

I can also show you around different places to see in Wadi Musa. my home and family to exchange culture, experience, jordanian food, and making a dinner party as i always do. Most of the activities outside of the camp are financially dependent upon you but of course when there are group campouts you are very welcome.
They can help in various ways. We do a lot of events and activities, camping , hiking, desert camp , desert trip , jeep tour. Horse riding , we have 4 hours and 2 dogs and 1 cat
This is at the camp ,
And about the hotel , it’s very close , so we can have all of this activity

We are located in little Petra
, we have 20 rooms and dorm , so the volunteers will have own private room (nice tent) for sure and meals included.
,, so if the volunteer going to be at the hotel , they will stay with a family, or private room of course
You can visit petra and little petra, hike alseag, wadi araba, wadi kharasa, dive in aqaba, enjoy wadi rum, go camping, visit my home and family to exchange culture, experience, jordanian food, and making a dinner party as i always do. On your days off you can take a local bus or taxi to visit tourist sites or nature reserves such as Amman, Jerash, the Dead Sea. First of all – people! who work here – very very very kind, polite, friendly, respectful, positive etc. I can say a lot of nice words about them. But words can’t explain what I feel.. sometimes it’s a little hard to say. I was happy during my stay;)
Secondly – the place. It looks like… read more you’re hiding between rocks which look like bubbles. So funny. I was surprised;) You’ll find many spots, many caves.. just for you.. for your privacy. I know how important it is.. to have some time alone:) And another nice moment – it’s a peaceful place. I was enjoying so much;)
I was helping for one month. The job wasn’t hard. Really;) Help to clean in the kitchen, toilets, showers; prepare the place for guests.. the work for a few hours. And afterwards, you’re free to hike, walk around, enjoy your time;)
While I was there I met a lot of nice people.. locals, tourists. I was welcomed. And I felt like I’m at home. Maybe more. Thank you soooooooo much for everything;)
I hope you’ll enjoy to stay in that place!!!:hearts:
Best wishes

Whether it was helping out all the people wanting to learn English; getting involved in the Mars Camp site near Petra with Mufti and Belal (and meeting all of the people who visited); playing football or cards etc. with many of the locals nearby; going on trips to Kerak, Wadi Rum and other areas of Jordan; practicing basic Arabic etc., there are so many things I absolutely loved about this Workaway, and I can't wait to go back to Wadi Musa when possible.
Mufti is a wonderful guy with a very chilled-out, relaxed manner that helps to make you feel very at ease, and as a very sociable character he makes it very easy to meet people and get further involved in the community as well. I would certainly recommend it. Thanks a lot Mufti! See you soon
