The Hostal has 10 Rooms and only one of them is with bunkbeds (Volunteers).
4 rooms are Private Rooms whit private bathroom and the rest are with share bathroom., and a small kitchen that you can use

4 habitaciones son habitaciones privadas con baño privado y el resto con baño compartido.

The first week we worked 2 km away, painting a house. We took the job very seriously, as we didn’t… read more want to let Cristian down, considering he entrusted us the job with no supervision!
Painting was fun and we were delighted to see the difference our work made!
During the second week I (Vik) worked in the kitchen alongside Rose. I helped her prepare breakfasts, but majority of the work was during lunchtime when the hostel was operating as a restaurants serving lunch to roughly 30-40 guests daily. The preparation, waitressing, cleaning the dishes and running the errands was very intense but incredibly fun!
In the meantime, Nath was hands on with cleaning and painting in the hostel.
These 2 weeks was a great opportunity for us to practice our Spanish and get experience with various types of work! Having a staff dinner on Christmas Eve was a great experience that made us feel welcome. The hostel has a real family feel to it! Cristian also arranged the Acatenango tour for us and even lent us some warm clothing!
