I am Carlos from Mexico City, I came to Puerto Vallarta 5 years ago, I own two hostels in Downtown Vallarta, and the biggest tour agency to the famous Marieta Islands & Hidden Beach. I am friendly love meetimg people, Crossfit and love the beach

Hostel is very good located, just a few meters from the famous malecon, where guest can find art galleries, restaurants, all kind of stores, and discos and pubs, just walking distance and on a safe turistic area.

On our experience volunteers stay or want to stay longer than they thought and some of them come back, thats make me feel good because I realize that something good we are doing.

We want at the hostel frliendly people with the best positive vibes.

At the hostel arrive persons from all over the world, this is a mexican hostel, with a great location, close to all important points at Puerto Vallarta. The main art galeries are just walking a few minutes from the hostel.

We need general help with the hostel, the most important chores is help in check in & check outs and be friendly with guest. Nothing difficult 🙂

My girlfriend and I worked at the hostel for a little over 2 weeks! Carlos was awesome and so was his dog 🙂 I would definitely recommend working here. I got a lot of painting done as well as creating a short film for a commercial for the hostel. Everyone is really great and we felt super welcomed! I will be back!

This review is looong overdue but well deserved, this was my first Workaway experience, and I couldn't have possibly chosen a better hostel for my first time ever leaving the country.
Being so far away from home and completely alone might seem scary, but I have never felt so welcomed so fast. It is hard for me to remember a time before this that… read more I felt so at happy and at home.
Working here is the first time I've ever cried tears of happiness. The volunteers make you feel so safe, you never want to go back home. The overwhelming amount of love I received here will be a memory I keep with me forever.

It was my first experience of workaway. Although i didnt know Spanish, Carlos kindly accepted my request and i moved from Mexico city to there after 10 days. I worked around 5 weeks there with lots of experiences. The hostel is usually full of young and energetic guests and is a good place to make friends from different countries. I was… read more responsible for promoting the hostel on Instagram by making pictures, running some half day tours and making videos and etc. Also i was working in reception desk, making beds, and sometimes helping others if necessary. Ususally 9 volunteers work there, and all of them know Englush and Spanish, so it is a good opportunity to practice both languages. The hostel is colorfull, many activities during every week, good location and good vibe. Carlos is a good guy who always available and ready to help, listen to your ideas and give you opportunities. The hostel is near to the beach, night clubs, markets and etc, so u have fun while you are working there. Alejandra is like a mother who works there and you can improve your spanish coz she dont speak English.

Generally, it was a very good experience for me, and i learnt many things and did many new things there.

This is my best workaway experience!!! The housekeeper Alejandra and the owner Carlos are very friendly, and all volunteers team have only best people! From first day you feel like at home, and every team member is responsible and helpful.

Hostel is big, bright and have a lot of zones.

I am Nico, i stayed 6 months in the hostel, from the first day everything is perfect, the charm of Alejandra and Carlos is huge, best team ever, they are gonna make everything to make you fell awesome, also the place is big, colorful and have a nice rooftop and gaming area. I am sure is the best hostel to stay and to volunteer in Puerto Vallarta.

I volunteered at the hostel for 4 weeks, first experience as workawayer and first experience outside Europe. Carlos is a super nice host, very chill and laid back and he will do everything he can to make you feel at home. Almost every night there is an event on the rooftop organized by volunteers, usually with their national food or what they can cook, music, games and drinks. I learned a lot during my stay and met funny and lovable people at the hostel.
Thank you Carlos, Ale and to all the volunteers and guests that made this last minute journey an experience to remember!
Tip: it's better to learn some Spanish, it will make your life a lot easier and you will be able to talk to more people!

I volunteered here for 6 weeks in the summer of 2018. The work was easy, sitting at the front desk, checking guests in, occasionally folding sheets for 5 hours/day. The housekeeper Alejandra and the owner Carlos are nice, relaxed and open to communication. Good location to explore Vallarta.

Notre expérience fût simplement exeptionnelle du début à la fin, nous avions prévu de rester 2 à 3 semaines et finalement nous avons tellement aimé l'ambiance et les personnes dans cet hostel que nous sommes restées plus d'un mois. Nous avons partagé de nombreux moments tant avec les volontaires, les hôtes qu'avec Alejandra et Carlos. Ce fût un mois magnifique, plein de rencontres , de progrès en espagnol et de soirées Pizza, Poker et aussi quelques fois soirée avec ''un peu'' de Tequila 🙂

Really glad I chose this place for my workaway. Atmosphere is super chill, fun, social and friendly. I was only planning to stay a couple of weeks but ended up there for six. Carlos is great to work for–respectful and easygoing. Location is perfect. Easy to recommend.

I workawayed here for a month and it was great! Carlos is super chill, the hostel is nice and the work is fair.. 5 hours, 5 times a week. All volunteers make their own roster and it is quite flexible if you want to take a few days off to explore places around Vallarta, like Sayulita, Yelapa, Maito, etc. By the time I left Carlos had extended the… read more Hostel by renting out the place next door.. I went back to visit and it was going great ! Best thing about Workaway here is your job is to look after guests and make sure they are enjoying themselves. So there is a cleaning lady to clean, you just handle check in/check out, washing sheets and making breakfast. If you're a long term traveller this is the kind of Workaway that you want :blush:

Such a great time!
Urs and I spent a month here. Together with two other girls we were the first volunteers in this small but lively hostel. The hostel was only 4 months young. Carlos let us volunteers organise all the work the way we thought was right and that way we became a good team.
The hostel is very central, close to beaches, clubs and… read more all types of activities.
We enjoyed the reception work (check-in/out, preparing breakfast for the guests, laundry) and loved all the good conversations with the hostel guests.
Carlos is very easy going and wants to make sure all the volunteers (and the guests) are happy. We definitely recommend this workaway!
